Oxfordshire activities
We’ve listed some of our favourite places within the county, which are a must-visit to explore, enjoy and help you keep fit.
Located directly beside our Nobel Park development in Didcot are the Wittenham Clumps, one of South Oxfordshire’s most loved landmarks and the most highly visited free greenspace in the region.
Standing proudly beside the River Thames, they offer several stunning walks and hikes with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and Didcot.
Starting from Bicester town centre is a stunning cycling route that will take you to the popular Bletchingdon Park.
This 18-mile round trip is a relaxing bike ride and is suited for many fitness levels.
Along the journey, you will pass the peaceful River Cherwell, which offers wild swimming spots and the historic Bletchingdon medieval manor house.
Oxfordshire events to take part in
Run Jericho is a scenic 5k and 10k multi-terrain run that loops around beautiful North Oxford, taking in the streets of Jericho, Worcester College grounds, Oxford Canal, Port Meadow and Burgess Field.
In 2011, parents at St Barnabas Primary School started the first Run Jericho to raise money for the school and foster links with the local community.
11 runs later, Run Jericho is still going strong with numbers growing every year.
All runs will take place on Sunday 9th June and there is also a kid's one-mile fun run around the streets of Jericho for children aged from four to six so the whole family can get involved.
Bike Oxford is a cycling event that explores the fantastic sights of the city of Oxford and the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds.
This popular Oxfordshire event is returning to Oxford University Rugby Club on Sunday 23rd June and offers a choice of routes heading out to the Chilterns, provisionally 26, 55 and 77-miles long.
The weekend will also feature another popular event, Walk Oxford.
This walking event explores historic Oxford and has a choice of three routes (approximately 10, 15 and 20-miles) to choose from and all walkers will receive a medal at the finish line.
